Kid Logic Friday -

The first day of summer found us setting up our pool. First was the big decision where to put it; somewhere mom could see everyone if she was in the house. The second step was finding level enough ground for our pool (we still had to buy a few bags of sand to fill the holes).

Our first day of summer was warm! The second day of summer was coooold. Again. Never the less, the second day found an ambitious couple of boys (David and Sam) waking up early at about 7:00 am. (with about 50 degree weather) to take a splash in the pool. Sam, after about 20 minutes in the pool, comes in shivering from head to toe, walks up to brother Ben and says through chattering teeth, " Hey Ben! you should come in the pool the water is SO warm!"

Kid Logic Friday - I Pad 2

Today's kid logic is not the usual.  Today's kid logic led John into talking me into going to the Apple Store at the MALL of all places, so he could purchase an I Pad.  Taking him to the store meant taking everybody; John, Peter, Ben, Amy, David, Sam, and Molly.  It's amazing how many interesting looks you get walking through the mall with so many children.  I love it!  I love it in the sense that I am not ashamed to bring so many children with me-I am so wealthy!  To me, my children are the goodness of the Lord in the flesh.

As far as the I Pad, Peter, Ben, and I pitched in on some of the cost.  We had ulterior motives for pitching in of course.  The boys are wanting to record music and I am hoping to learn how to take, edit, and post video footage.  Hopefully a few posts from now will show footage : )

We also Skyped Seth on the new addition.  That was a treat.

Cookies!

So today Molly and I made oatmeal cookies just for a little treat. I made oatmeal cookies because they are the best  in my opinion, and are better than the usual chocolate chip cookies which are usually the only kind we make.  I don't like making a mess when I bake something, but Molly is the exact opposite! To her, the messier the better.  Instead of rolling them in a ball with our hands or dropping by the spoonful, we used an ice cream scooper to make all the cookie dough balls perfect little circles.

When they were all done of course Molly wanted hers with,"extra special," milk from the fridge which we both enjoyed, while David and Sam only wanted pretty much plain old raw dough. And that was our little Monday treat.

The finished product

Molly was pooped after all that mess making and cookies and milk eating!

Kid Logic Friday - The Z-O-O

Boy some kids learn how to spell early!  Dad was telling Mom that he was thinking of taking us to the Z-O-O (spelling it thinking certain little people wouldn't understand).  Molly hearing this replies, "Your going to take me to the zoo!?"  Smart cookie, Molly Rose.

Putting First Things First

May the merciful God protect me against the Christian Church which contains nothing but pure saints.  I want to be and remain in the church and among the little flock in which there are timid, weak, and ailing people who recognize and feel their sin, plight, and misery, who sincerely sigh and cry to God without ceasing for comfort and help, and who believe in the forgiveness of sins and are persecuted for the sake of the Word, which they teach and confess in purity and without adulteration.

The Bee and the Rose (Molly Rose, that is)

Molly likes to give all sorts of different kisses; butterfly kisses, Eskimo kisses, puppy kisses, slug kisses (yuk!)  She wanted to give mom an eskimo kiss this time.  When she gave mom a kiss she got a SHOCK right on the nose!

"Mom, you're a bee!  That was a bee kiss."
